Job description
We are seeking a skilled Programmer to join us here at KMF, an award winning Staffordshire-based Engineering company renowned for innovation and excellence., The successful candidate will have experience in offline programming of Trumpf CNC punch, laser and punch/laser combination machines using Radan CADCAM software., * Creating 2D CNC CAD programs with the use of Radan CAD/CAM software on CNC punch, Laser and Punch/Laser combination machines.
- Maximising material sheet utilisation, optimising CNC tooling and run paths for all CNC machines.
- Producing safe, optimised offline programs for CNC brake presses.
- Working on Large prototype sheet metal assemblies with comprehensive BOM structures.
- Working closely with all departments within the business to deliver on short lead times driven by ERP.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Sheet metal?, * Experience in offline programming of Trumpf CNC press brake machinery, using Radbend software.
- Experience of using Radan nesting software.
- Previously have worked within a fast paced dynamic sheet metal manufacturing industry.
- Good knowledge of sheet metal development and Design for Manufacture principles.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings.
- Ability to process 3D model data using radan software.
- Ability to identify cost savings and improvements through DFM principles.
- Basic 3d modelling knowledge.
- Ability to process large metalwork assemblies driven by ERP lead times.
- Ability to communicate with all departments within the business and customers.
- Knowledge of Epicor ERP system.
