IT Engineer

We're hiring for an IT Engineer to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business based in Salford. In this role, you'll take ownership of IT infrastructure, systems, and support, acting as a key technical lead across multiple sites while ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and scalable., + Leading and supporting the IT helpdesk and support function

• Acting as the escalation point for 2nd and 3rd line support issues
• Managing and maintaining servers, networks, cloud systems and backups
• Supporting and developing Microsoft environments (M365, Active Directory, Windows Server)
• Overseeing network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, switching)
• Implementing and maintaining cyber security controls and system monitoring
• Supporting disaster recovery, patching and system resilience
• Leading IT projects, improvements and technical upgrades
• Creating and maintaining IT documentation and best practice processes
• Mentoring junior IT staff and supporting team development What will you need?

• Proven experience in a Senior IT Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or IT Support Lead role
• Strong background in IT infrastructure, networks and cloud systems
• Experience providing 2nd and 3rd line support
• Knowledge of Microsoft technologies (M365, Active Directory, Windows Server)
• Understanding of cyber security best practices
• Ability to lead technical projects

• £45,000 - £50,000 p/a
• Mon - Fri | 8am - 4:30pm
