(Senior) System Administrator

As a (Senior) System Administrator for the applike Group, you will keep our office infrastructure and tech setup running smoothly and support a small team's activities. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team and play a crucial role in supporting our diverse employee base, managing systems across Mac OS, Windows. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in cloud-based environments, possess excellent communication skills, exhibit a hands-on mentality, and be able to lead several projects and coach and mentor their colleagues. This role involves providing both first and second-level support, ensuring daily operational efficiency, managing hardware storage, and contributing to the company's IT journey towards zero touch and ISO certification. What you will do:

• Leading projects from beginning to end, as well as coaching and mentoring juniors and new joiners.
• Ensure that our workplace tech is constantly working: Network, Wi-Fi, Internet Access, Meeting Rooms, Tech Equipment in common spaces and offices, etc.
• You will provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software
• Create and maintain tips and tricks solutions in our Confluence
• Proper management of the IT warehouse
• Provide the set-up and removal of technical equipment
• Manage over 400 workstations, mainly onsite in Hamburg but also remotely
• Ensure proper security of our computers and network
• Willing to take part in daily support when needed and proactively offer hands-on assistance to colleagues and other teams with an open-minded attitude

• Fluent in English and German
• More than 3 years of experience in System Administrator roles or equivalent experience
• Deep expertise in all relevant fields e.g., OS administration (Jamf), network security setup and infrastructure fallbacks, automation of processes e.g. provisioning, flawless running of our Unifi infrastructure
• Expert knowledge in working with Windows, Mac, the Google Workspace, and decent familiarity with JIRA
• Strong track record of driving projects in the System Administrator Space and fostering a continuous improvement mindset
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Ready to operate at fast speed, solution-oriented, reliable way of working, high motivation, and hands-on mentality
• Good to have: Experience in onboarding, coaching, and mentoring working students, interns, and other junior colleagues
