Job description
This isn't a pure analytics or engineering role - it's both. You'll sit at the intersection of data and business, owning everything from building pipelines to influencing product decisions. Rough split: 40% Data Engineering / 60% Analytics
What you'll be doing
- Build & own the data platform
- Develop and optimise pipelines (Airflow, BigQuery, DBT)
- Design core data models powering analytics across the business
- Ensure data quality, scalability, and performance
- Bring in new data sources across product, marketing, and tech
Drive real business impact
- Analyse user behaviour, churn, and performance
- Turn complex questions into clear insights
- Influence product and commercial decisions with data
- Build scalable, data-driven workflows
- (Optional) Apply ML/statistical models to optimise performance
Requirements
- 5-7 years in analytics, data engineering, or data science
- Strong SQL + Python
- Experience with BigQuery (or similar DWH)
- Exposure to Airflow / DBT / Git is a plus
- BI tools (Tableau or similar)
- Strong commercial mindset, not just queries, but impact
- Fluent German (essential)
