My client, a global professional services organisation and leader in digital transformation, is hiring a Senior Manager (Tech Lead) to join their Technology & Transformation team in London or Belfast. This is a key leadership position within a high-performing innovation function focused on building cutting-edge, human-centric products for finance and business professionals. You will lead the development of scalable applications while driving rapid prototyping and product innovation in a fast-paced, agile environment., As a Senior Manager / Tech Lead, you will take ownership of a Scrum team, leading the design and delivery of scalable, high-quality applications while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. You will work closely with product owners, designers, and engineers to rapidly prototype and deliver solutions that solve complex business challenges. Key responsibilities include:

Leading and mentoring a high-performing Scrum team, driving delivery and technical excellence
Designing and implementing scalable, resilient technical solutions
Acting as Technical Lead for key product areas, ensuring quality, maintainability, and performance
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class user experiences
Driving rapid prototyping and innovation to reduce time-to-value for users
Supporting Agile delivery processes including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stand-ups
Coaching and developing engineers across all levels

Requirements

Proven experience leading engineering teams in a commercial environment
Strong ability to break down complex problems into scalable solutions
Hands-on development background with modern engineering practices
Experience working with REST APIs and database technologies
Strong understanding of CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Familiarity with testing approaches (TDD / BDD)
Experience using version control systems (e.g. Git)
Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills, * Experience with modern frontend and/or backend technologies (e.g. JavaScript frameworks, Java)
Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or similar)
Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
Experience building and scaling enterprise-grade applications
