Job description
We are seeking a Document Controller to support a large-scale project by ensuring the effective management, storage, and distribution of documents and records. The role involves working closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain compliance with project standards and deadlines.
Some of the main responsibilities of the Document Controller will include:
- Provide reliable and timely document management support using the project's chosen electronic document management system, ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Support senior members of the document control team with the management and maintenance of documentation, data, and records.
- Assist internal teams and external partners, offering training and guidance on document management systems and processes.
- Capture, store, control, and distribute all relevant project documentation in line with agreed procedures.
- Carry out quality checks on project deliverables to ensure they meet document control requirements.
- Manage document workflows, including receiving, reviewing, and distributing documents.
- Help align document management with wider project information needs.
- Identify and resolve issues within the document control process.
- Check the quality of documents to ensure they meet the Project and Company Standards.
- Problem solving documentation process issues.
- Support the team in document management processes and tools.
- Track and monitor of design change information between two client systems, liaison with review team for review and acceptance.
- Be able to support with high volume of workload, while under pressure
- Will require use of bulk tools for upload and Import of documentation

- Previous experience in document control within a complex stakeholder environment.
- Experience working on projects with set objectives and milestones.
- Understanding of quality assurance processes related to document control.
- Strong attention to detail and awareness of effective record-keeping practices.
- Knowledge of filing systems and distribution processes.
- Awareness of the importance of document and information management on large-scale projects.
- Good understanding of electronic document and record management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Nuclear experience is desirable
- Reside locally to Bristol or be prepared to relocate, as this permanent role does not include travel expense coverage.
