Job description

To fully develop mechanical designs from concept to production, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and shall ensure:

  • Product safety standards and requirements are followed
  • Design quality requirements are met On-time & On-Cost design deliverables, * Develop 3D CAD models, 2D drawings and FEA analysis for tailormade lifting equipment for multiple industry segments (incl. renewables - e.g. Wind).
  • Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and define dimensional tolerances according to ISO standards.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and drafters to ensure design intent and manufacturability.
  • Support DFMEA and risk analysis activities during the design phase.
  • Present and participate in design reviews and implement feedback from engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
  • Assist in prototype development and testing, including documentation of results.
  • Ensure all designs comply with applicable safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate design documentation and revision control.
  • Properly and actively interface with customers to review requirements, discuss technical design and clarify quality topics.
  • Support the seamless integration of new designs and processes, as well as product standardization and modularization.
  • Provide technical information for the offers (concept design, materials, engineering hours, validation requirements, etc.).
  • Follow the execution of engineering best practices, including Design Reviews, DFMEA, Stack-up analysis, and FEA.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Commit to company regulations (health and safety, compliance, environment, cybersecurity, etc.).

Requirements

Do you have experience in SolidWorks?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical preferred); Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design (preferably in heavy machinery or lifting equipment).
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferable SolidWorks and Catia).
  • Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and mechanical design standards.
  • Experience with FEA analysis.
  • Knowledge of engineering best practices (e.g. DFMEA, DMATS, etc.).
  • Experience with PDM/PLM systems is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English (mandatory)
  • Knowledge of basic office software (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Experience working in a multinational company is preferred.
