Introduction to the job

As a Business Intelligence Analyst you will develop data models and support the generation of data insights for EF. You will mainly be using Spotfire to enable value creation for ASML and its customers.

You will become part of the EF Business Intelligence & Analytics team, which is part of the EUV Factory's Operational Excellence - Business Engineering department. The Business Engineers support the EUV Factory staff(s) by delivering data insights & advice in order to realize the factory targets.

This is a temporary role until ~Dec 1st 2026.

Roles and responsibilities

As a data analyst you will:

  • Be responsible for maintaining and improving Spotfire reports; for both ad hoc questions coming from factory users and for improving and maintaining our existing Spotfire dashboards. Experience with developing Spotfire dashboards is a must. Other tools, such as Databricks and Python, and Power BI are also available to use to transform data into actionable insights.
  • Support the factory with with analytics, mainly using Spotfire, but other analytics & BI tooling is also available for use: Databricks and Python, and Power BI.
  • Perform analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data.
  • Need the ability to understand business questions and challenges and be able to translate them to reporting & analytics requirements.
  • Need the ability to compile data from multiple platforms and systems.
  • Perform data preparation and data engineering..

Education and experience

Master's degree in Information Management, Econometrics, Data Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Mathematics & Computer Science, Robotics, or Applied Mathematics, or equivalent.

Drive and passion are always key within ASML, but we consider the following experience as a must for this position:

  • 2 - 8 years of experience with data analytics.
  • Knowledge of working with data platforms, data analysis and visualization tools and techniques.
  • Experience with Spotfire (must) and/or other BI tooling (Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, SAC).
  • Experience with data analytics in Databricks, Python, R or equivalent is also advantageous.
  • Experience with basic Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Experience in a complex, international environment is a plus.
  • Drive to innovate and discover new technologies.

Skills

In this role, you will interact with stakeholders at various levels within the factory. Everyone from the Planning Director to an Install Project Coordinator-and from Breakthrough Project Lead to First Line Support Engineer-could be your internal customer. This diversity makes stakeholder management crucial. Essential skills for success include:

  • The ability to work effectively and constructively in multidisciplinary teams .
  • Professional communication: can explain and present technical matters within team and can zoom out to oversee the bigger picture .
  • Internal drive for efficiency and able to work disciplined and accurate.
  • Take responsibility and be predictable: deliver what you promise.
  • Observe the wishes and needs of the customer, anticipate them and act accordingly.
