Job description
- Develop orchestration and support tools as well as DevOps artifacts to maintain application rollout and monitoring.
- Apply best practices in software engineering to deliver optimum results.
- Drive DevOps initiatives and bring technical excellence to the production stage of software products.
- Understand the needs of team and troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues.
- Adopt to new technology trends to provide the best industry standard solutions for maintaining hygiene and risk control.
- Bring infrastructure expertise to the team and be a subject matter expert in this area.
Requirements
- Extensive engineering and programming experience with DevOps tooling, orchestration, and automation (Bash, Python, Docker, Terraform, Ansible).
- Solid understanding of runtime virtual machines for compiled languages.
- Skilled in setting up and using CI/CD and version-control tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, and Jenkins.
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) and their core services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage), Kubernetes, and deployment patterns (e.g. blue-green, canary).
- Proven experience maintaining databases, distributed client-server systems, and computing/storage clusters.
- Strong Linux expertise, with additional plus skills in the Java ecosystem (Spring Boot, Maven), JVM languages, Oracle, Postgres, Kafka, data stacks, message brokers, and OpenShift.
