Process Automation Engineer

Provides technical discipline expertise to ensure the safe, reliable and optimal operation of assets in the Netherlands.

• Provide technical support to Engineering, Maintenance and Operations teams regarding process control, process control systems, and safety instrumented systems.
• Define, manage, and supervise the scope of work for all outsourced process automation engineering activities.
• Holds and applies skill for designing and implementing modifications, in an independent manner, in line with Company and International standards in industrial automation and process control.
• Coordinate the scope definition through cross-functional meetings with Process Engineers to ensure solution development and execution.
• Takes the lead in resolving problems related to the Distributed Control Systems / Process Safeguarding Systems/Fire & Gas systems.
• Participate and contribute to formal safety reviews, including HAZOP and LOPA sessions.
• During the commissioning phase of the projects responsible to execute automation functional tests and related activities and support the commissioning team.
• Manage, co- works with and/or advises Engineering Contractors for study work, upgrading or replacement projects.

We're happy to hear from professionals with a BSc./HTS Educational diploma in relevant engineering/technical discipline and at least 10 years' experience with Instrumentations and Control Systems. In this role you'll require both Dutch and English language skills. We'd like to see as many of the following skills on your CV:

• Training and hand-on experience with DSC/ PSS / FGS
• Operational knowledge;
• Knowledge of OT cybersecurity (IEC62443);
• Knowledge of HAZOP, SIL studies;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Skills to prioritize HSE, Operational and Project related work;
• Develop and modify control logic, HMI graphics, and alarm systems
• TUV certification (Functional Safety Engineer/Professional) according to IEC 61511 is beneficial;
• Experience with Yokogawa's Distributed Control Systems and safety systems;
• Hands-on experience with OPC, Modbus (RTU and TCP/IP), and other standard industrial communication protocols used in PLC, SCADA, and DCS environments.
