Job description
Atrium (EMEA) are supporting a large managed service provider, looking for a Senior Java Developer with deep Elasticsearch expertise to join the data and engineering team. You will lead the design and optimisation of search capabilities, build high performance Java services, and work across the full data lifecycle-from ingestion and storage to processing and analysis., * Act as the Elasticsearch SME, owning cluster design, index architecture, performance tuning, and ingestion pipelines.
- Develop robust Java-based microservices integrating search and data workflows.
- Build and maintain data pipelines across diverse datasets.
- Work with Python, SQL, JSON, LakeFS, and data-processing tools.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Required Skills - Extensive Elastic, ELK, Logstash and/or Kibana experience
- Expert-level Elasticsearch (architecture, indexing, scaling, query optimisation)
- Experience with large-scale data systems and distributed architectures.
- Highly useful: Python, SQL, JSON, LakeFS.
- Useful: Apache Spark, R.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating multiple data sources and building scalable data pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead technical decisions
