Job description

As a Senior AWS Platform Engineer, you'll act as a key technical expert, shaping scalable, secure cloud solutions for a variety of clients. Their focus is on platform engineering, DevOps, automation, and cloud-native delivery, creating foundations that balance developer velocity with security, resilience, and governance., * Architect and deliver scalable, highly available and secure cloud-native systems using AWS.

  • Design and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring consistency and repeatability.
  • Drive adoption of modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation and continuous delivery.
  • Support clients in designing and optimising cloud solutions tailored to their technical and business requirements.
  • Contribute to project scoping, planning and delivery, taking ownership of smaller engagements.
  • Ensure solutions align with best practices across performance, security and cost optimisation.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS across infrastructure, networking and cloud-native services.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience working with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles and automated delivery practices.
  • Ability to design secure, scalable and resilient cloud architectures.
  • Strong communication skills with experience working directly with stakeholders or clients.
  • Background in consultancy, platform engineering or cloud-focused roles is highly desirable.

  • Salary up to £90,000 depending on experience.
  • 10% annual bonus plus an additional 10% in company shares.
