Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Data Scientist to optimize and advance our customer relationship management (CRM) efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing, analysing, and refining CRM campaigns with a focus on improving customer engagement, retention, and monetisation. You'll have a shown ability to apply your skills, be it technical, behavioural or economic, to generate value for the product you're working on. You'll help us to further understand, predict, segment, and retain our players and be part of a community of 100+ business intelligence & analytics experts.
Role And Responsibilities
Collaborate with CRM, marketing, and events teams to set up, monitor, and analyse CRM campaigns.
Design, conduct, and interpret A/B tests, developing insights to optimise customer journeys and increase overall campaign effectiveness.
Use data-driven approaches to refine segmentation, targeting, and personalisation strategies.
Ensure CRM systems and data are reliable and optimised for tracking key performance metrics.
Support the CRM team's technical development, continuously improving tools and methodologies to enhance CRM processes.
Communicate, visualise and report findings in a clear and unambiguous way to people with varying levels of numerical proficiency, ensuring that the data required to understand how our players interact with the game is available and reliable, and systematically breaking complex and abstract problems into solvable questions.

Requirements
Strong skills in SQL and experience with analytical tools such as Python or R.
Stats: Understanding the basics of appropriate statistical or machine-learning techniques. Familiarity with massive data sets and tools to deal with them (e.g., BigQuery, AWS, Hadoop).
Standard reporting tools such as Looker, Tableau, etc.
CRM Systems: Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Braze, or similar).
Experience in behavioural psychology/economics and experimental design, and game theory.
Experience in predictive analytics, segmentation, and related areas.
Experience in the games industry or customer-facing digital businesses.
Working knowledge of randomised controlled trials (e.g., social science research, medical research, biostatistics, policy research) or digital A/B testing and online controlled experiments.
Familiar with collaborative programming (git is a must) and highly skilled in R or Python.
Software engineering skills in Java and other languages (beyond R and Python).
