Requirements

We are seeking candidates who are qualified to GCSEs and A-Level or equivalent experience and demonstrate the ability and willingness to operate in a solution-centric manner. Join B-made's cutting-edge manufacturing and design workshops, supporting world-class teaching and research across advanced fabrication, 3D printing, and hands-on technical services. You'll operate industrial 3D printers, prepare and maintain equipment, deliver excellent customer service, manage shop transactions, and help keep one of the UK's leading fabrication environments running smoothly., Based at 22 Gordon Street with regular work at UCL Here East, this flexible, customer-focused role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, CAD proficiency, and a passion for supporting creative making., The Technical Services Technician will work both independently and in coordination with B-made managers, and colleagues to support core services provided in B-made. The post holder will be required to work in various capacities, ensuring essential services are supported during staff absences and in times of peak activity.

The postholder must be flexible and able to deliver a variety of duties such as;

Providing customer-focused service to all users of the workshop. Working in the 3D Printing department performing file checking, file preparation, machine maintenance and operation, print cleaning, costing, and liaising with clients. This role is also positioned to work with the B-made Shops, transacting sales, re-stocking shelves, and checking students into the workshop.

This post will be based at B-made's 22 Gordon St location in Bloomsbury, Stratford, but will liaise and work interchangeably with B-made staff based at our other sites. The post holder must be able to travel/work from both sites.
