Director of Data Services

This role will lead that transformation at programme level, implementing a more scalable, technology-enabled and well-controlled platform that enables sustainable growth and excellent customer outcomes.As a member of the Sales Finance Management Team, you will play a key role in shaping how we operate for the future.The OpportunityYou will lead a structured transformation programme focused on:Redesigning end-to-end operational workflowsReducing reliance on manual processes through intelligent automationStrengthening data integrity, reporting and performance visibilityEnhancing control effectiveness and fraud prevention frameworksImproving service delivery and operational consistencyBuilding a resilient, scalable operating platform fit for growthThis is about building capability and maturity, not short-term cost reduction.Key Responsibilities1. Operating Model Redesign Design and implement a scalable operating model across onboarding, servicing, cash allocation and collectionsReview current-state processes, identify gaps and support the redesign for efficiency and controlClarify roles, accountability and performance ownershipAlign operational structure with future portfolio growth and product expansion2. Process Engineering & Continuous ImprovementTranslate regulatory, risk and commercial requirements into robust, practical processesIntroduce structured continuous improvement methodologyReduce operational risk through improved workflow design and automation· Focus is on building consistency, control and operational confidence.3. Technology Enablement & Systems OptimisationOversee and enhance core divisional systems, including:Dancerace C3 & E3RSM In-time & In-payPraeviewNatWest Bankline & AutopayYou will:Identify automation and integration opportunitiesReduce manual touchpoints and improve system connectivityPartner with vendors to drive enhancementsWork closely with the Head of Technology and outsourced IT partner (Zepler) to ensure:Robust business continuitySystem resilience and data integrityTechnology scalability aligned to growth4. Data, Performance & InsightEstablish meaningful KPIs and SLAs across operational functionsImplement performance dashboards and management reportingUse data insight to proactively manage service performance and riskStrengthen MI quality for SLT and Board reporting5. Risk, Compliance & ControlEmbed robust operational risk and financial crime controlsEnsure audit readiness and regulatory alignmentImprove governance discipline and exception managementStrengthen fraud detection and prevention frameworks6.
