Job description
The role is to work as an application developer within the Securities Lending technology team in London. Securities Lending is responsible for facilitating short sales for clients including Hedge Funds and Internal Trading Desks, Collateral automation for Asset Optimization Group (AOG) and Supply Desk automation to source external Inventory
Requirements
- Strong Python development experience interacting with both data in motion (Amps, Kafka) and data in rest (SQL server/ Sybase/ Oracle) experience
- Good understanding of Agile and Lean software development practices and associated tools
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders in front, middle and back office
- Problem solving skills e.g. ability to lead root cause analysis, own resolutions &
- Strategic thinker who can see the big picture and provide thought leadership.
Preferred:
- React JS, .Net development experience a plus
- Application Management experience
- Knowledge of Bank technologies (Quartz/Risk - IMM)
- Knowledge of Securities Lending or Prime Financing is desirable
- Product and Client static data is desirable
