Join us as Software / Integration Engineer and help build, automate, and secure the data pipelines that power Nuage-Sika's global custom-built R&D data platform! In this role you will be part of a fast-growing Global R&D Digitalization team, transforming how our global R&D function develops and working on wide range of topics - from using traditional data science techniques to optimising operational efficiency along with state-of-the-art AI solutions to identify novel construction materials. This role is designed for remote working with occassional trips to Welwyn Garden City. Your main tasks will be:
- Automate and streamline secure data transfer between cloud and on-prem systems
- Enhance laboratory testing programs to import/export data in a computer literate format
- Design and implement Python-based data ingestion pipelines to support scalable and efficient data processing
- Develop and maintain Python SDKs to enable seamless connectivity between databases and Databricks environments
Requirements
Do you have experience in SDKs?, * Higher education or proven track record of relevant working experience
- 2+ years of working experience with production software in the role of Software Engineer, Software Architect, Data Engineer, Data Scientist or similar
- Excellent knowledge of Python
- Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs
- Experience with a Data Intelligence platform such as Databricks
- Experience with ITIL and agile project management
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent capacity to prioritise work
Preferred
- Jira/Confluence experience
- Experience with integrating laboratory testing equipment with LIMS
