Job description

As a Senior Java Developer (f/m/x), you will embody the "you build it, you run it" principle. You will take full ownership of the software lifecycle, from designing and coding elegant solutions to deploying and maintaining them in our production environment. You will be a technical pillar within your squad, driving the implementation of scalable, resilient solutions and acting as a role model for modern engineering excellence., * Design, develop, and maintain robust Java/Spring (Boot) applications, taking full ownership from initial concept through to production deployment and maintenance.

  • Automate the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and build robust, secure CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement and enhance comprehensive observability to monitor application performance, ensure system health, and rapidly troubleshoot issues in a distributed environment.
  • Mentor and coach other engineers in modern software engineering practices, including clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, and cloud-native development.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate complex business needs into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions within our hybrid cloud and on-premise environment.

Requirements

  • Extensive professional experience within the Java ecosystem (Spring/Spring Boot, Maven, etc.), a passion for software craftsmanship, and a collaborative spirit with a desire to mentor others.
  • Proven, hands-on expertise in automating infrastructure and deployments using IaC tools like Terraform and CI/CD systems like GitHub Actions.
  • Strong practical skills in application monitoring and observability, with experience using tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, or instrumenting applications with OpenTelemetry.
  • Significant experience with a major cloud platform (Google Cloud Platform is a strong plus) and a deep understanding of building and maintaining distributed microservices; familiarity with SQL, NoSQL, or Big Data technologies is a plus.
  • A university degree in a technological or scientific field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent proven work experience.
