Job description

Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting Build Engineer to be based at our customer's site in Gaydon Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery. Job Description / Roles & Responsibilities · Product development across multiple engineering initiatives, with the specific aim of coordinating with various Build, Engineering and logistic teams / issues resolution of any prototype manufacturing facilities and Engineering components / assembly. · Liaise with the rest of the testing, design and engineering community, test houses, suppliers, prototype build manufacturing engineering, and logistic team. · Review and create list of parts from CAD viewer for assembly for any rework requirement for Automotive components for testing. · To pick up, manage and deliver test components to test houses. Work alongside experienced Test Development Engineers. · Agree and execute appropriate preparation of test components based on various test plans for Mechanical and electrical tests. · Introduction of test method change with test houses and prototype facility. · Maintain effective internal & external communication with other departments & suppliers. · Represent the DVP team at periodic presentations to other departments like Manufacturing, Logistic, test houses and Internal test rig teams.

Requirements

· Sound understanding of Automotive/ ePowertrain Engineering design fundamentals. · Basic knowledge of vehicle integration. · Good understanding of manufacturing processes & technologies. · Basic knowledge of assembly processes. · Should be able to work on 3Dx CATIA V5 · Excellent PC skills and at ease with MS Office products · Knowledge of build coordination and quality processes, such as build book verification etc. · Knowledge of Fault Finding and Root Cause Analysis. · Experience gained in Automotive OEM or tier one supplier., · Self-motivated and proactive, with a can-do attitude and the ability to work both as a supportive team member and as a driven individual with minimal supervision · Adaptable, quick thinking, decisive, showing strong initiative and self-determination · Promote cross functional team working and collaboration between departments to support delivery of challenging projects · Conscientious, with a proven eye for detail (quality, reliability and safety) with dedication to delivering best in class products · Excellent personal workload management and workforce planning. · Excellent communication skills to enable cross-functional working, able to define the requirement and breakdown complex problems · Passion for the automotive industry and technology would be advantageous · Enthusiasm to embrace change and support creation of new processes as necessary · Willing to own and push the boundaries of their core responsibilities Essential Requirements (To be met): · Roles based full time at customer location Coventry, United Kingdom · Required to be in office 5 days per week.
