Job description
As a Telecom Performance Engineer you will be part of a team of Radio Access & Core Networks and Transmission specialists. You will be responsible for providing support and expertise for in-depth performance analysis on a 4G/5G network infrastructure using multiple sources of data and measurements.
Specific responsibilities include:

Defining objective criteria that allow monitoring the performance (KPI) of the future LTE Radio Access & Core networks, covering capacity, quality, throughput and availability aspects.

Proactively monitor indicators that are crucial for VoLTE and 4G/5G technologies and investigate the possible causes in case of deterioration of some KPIs.

Analyze the technical changes made to the access & core networks and their possible impact on KPIs.

Work closely with the Operational Efficiency team and with the ASTRID Service Centre in order fix the performance issues of the 4G/5G networks.

Work closely with the internal (Next Gen Communications) and external stakeholders to define the methodologies and targets to measure the 4G/5G KPIs (KPI, KQI) in the context of setting up and delivering the 4G/5G MOCN services.

Define measurable targets for the various KPIs in close collaboration with the Data & Analytics team, in order to create reports using large amounts of data in the context of analyzing the performance of the 4G/5G networks.

Be able to use programming languages such as Python, SQL... and data display tools, to analyze large data sets and present information to various stakeholders.

Summarize and communicate relevant information regarding the performance of the 4G/5G networks to the stakeholders using graphical views and/or other appropriate methods.

Be able to analyze and understand a combination of qualitative and quantitative data using various data sources, prepare technical reports and provide information and applicable recommendations on complex issues.

Coach the other engineers of the team on 4G/5G topics.
Requirements
Master's degree in Electronics or in data science, or equivalent experience is a plus.

More than 5 years of professional experience in LTE Radio Access / Core Network systems and RF engineering.

Solid technical knowledge of wireless technologies, particularly LTE/VoLTE and 5G (capacity, coverage, signaling, voice...).

Expert understanding of operational measurements/counters to define and monitor Critical Performance Indicators (KPI).

Highly skilled in oral and written communication; able to present technical and non-technical ideas to audiences from diverse backgrounds.

Experience in evaluating trends in the performance of voice and data services and in proactively identifying problems related to the performance of the Radio Access and Core Networks systems.

Experience in the visual representation of Data and understanding of statistical methods. A very good command of current technology trends in data analysis, including emerging practices.

Demonstrated expertise in researching and solving problems through acquired professional experience. Experience with a wireless infrastructure provider and/or operator is desirable.

Ability to take initiative and organize work; be customer and result oriented; be able to manage priorities.

You are a real team player and can manage projects with internal and external partners.

You can express yourself fluently, both verbally and in writing, in Dutch, French and English.

You have a driving license type B.
Required experience and skills:
