Software / Data Engineer

A scientific data organization in Spain is seeking a SWE / Data Engineer to enhance and maintain its scientific data platform built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The successful candidate will develop cloud-based infrastructure, manage databases, and ensure high-quality standards. Candidates must have strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and experience with the Django framework, cloud services, and Git repository management. • Organize and manage Git repositories, write & maintain CI/CD scripts.
• Enforce industry best practices for testing to ensure quality.
• Create schemas for multi-faceted data types.

• 5+ years experience working on projects using the Django framework.
• 3+ years experience with managed cloud computing services, preference for GCP.
• 3+ years experience with cloud-hosted relational databases.
• 2+ years experience with big data querying tools.
• 2+ years experience with ETL tools.
• 5+ years experience in Git repository design, testing, and CI/CD systems.
• 2+ years experience writing asynchronous workflows.
