Do you already have several years of experience in industrial automation and motion control, and would you like to further develop yourself in building and optimizing high-speed packaging machines? Do you enjoy working with a multidisciplinary engineering team on customer-specific solutions, and do you like being involved in commissioning at the customer site, both remotely and on-site? Then we are looking for you. What will you do? As a Software Engineer, you develop, improve, and test the control systems of our packaging machines. You work on complex, high-speed, high-precision motion applications, both for new machines and existing concepts. You actively contribute ideas regarding technical choices and improvements. Together with a multidisciplinary team consisting of engineering and project technicians, you align on machine design and ensure innovative and well-functioning solutions. We work with technologies including: Allen Bradley PLCs with motion and Lenze IPC (Codesys) with motion. Your responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and optimizing PLC and motion control software for high-speed packaging machines
- Implementing and configuring Mpac HMI solutions
- Testing software during the workshop testing phase
- Performing IO tests, functional tests, and supporting FAT
- Supporting the commissioning and start-up of machines at customer sites, both remotely and on-site (national and international, max. 30% travel time)
- Analyzing technical issues and translating them into practical software solutions
- Contributing to standardization and improvement of software libraries
- Identifying improvement opportunities in performance and reliability
Requirements
- Completed HBO degree (or MBO-4) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Automation
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in machine building or industrial automation
- Experience with PLCs, IPCs, motion control, and servomotors (preferably Allen Bradley and/or Lenze IPC) is a plus
- Affinity with commissioning and international start-ups
- Good command of Dutch and English
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 30% of the time
- Analytical, precise, and communicative
- Able to work independently but also proactively collaborate with others
