Job description
As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll take ownership of software engineering activities from initial definition through engineering, realization, and final commissioning. You oversee quality, planning, and cost-ensuring the successful delivery of hightech automation solutions.
You'll work closely with Project Engineers and multidisciplinary teams to bring projects to life. Alongside external deliverables, you'll help build and refine internal standard software concepts, ensuring they are documented, scalable, and futureready.
What You'll Do
- Lead and guide software engineering throughout all project phases
- Monitor quality, planning, and budget for your discipline
- Collaborate with engineers across automation, robotics, electrical, and mechanical domains
- Develop and refine internal standard software concepts
- Support commissioning of complex installations worldwide (approx. 30% travel)
Requirements
Do you have experience in Programmable logic controllers?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Industrial Automation or Software Engineering
- 3-6 years' experience developing and commissioning technically complex systems
- Experience working in a projectbased organization
- Strong knowledge of PLC software (Allen Bradley, Siemens, TIA Portal)
- Bonus points for experience with:
- Robot software (ABB, Fanuc)
- EPLAN
- Servo systems
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- A creative, persuasive, and resourceful mindset
- Willingness to travel internationally
