Job description
As a Technical Architect, you will take ownership of detailed design, tender and construction information, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical standards. Working closely with consultants, contractors and clients, you will play a key role in maintaining design integrity through to completion.
The studio has a collaborative and non-hierarchical structure, offering a high level of autonomy and responsibility. This Technical Architect position provides the opportunity to work on complex private residential projects across London, within a supportive and design-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects through RIBA Stages 4-7, ensuring technical excellence and compliance
- Produce comprehensive tender and construction packages, including detailed drawings, schedules and specifications
- Coordinate and review consultant information, ensuring integration into the overall design
- Manage tender processes and documentation in collaboration with Quantity Surveyors
- Administer JCT contracts, including issuing instructions, certificates and managing variations
- Conduct regular site inspections and attend client and contractor meetings
- Manage RFIs and respond to technical queries during construction
- Ensure full compliance with UK Building Regulations and industry best practice

Requirements
A Technical Architect job is now available in Shoreditch, London with an established boutique architectural practice specialising in high-end private residential projects. This London-based role sits within the luxury residential sector and focuses on technical delivery across RIBA Stages 4-7. The practice is seeking a Technical Architect with a minimum of two years' UK experience delivering high-end residential schemes and strong contract administration expertise., * ARB-registered Architect or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum two years' UK experience delivering high-end private residential projects
- Proven experience leading projects through RIBA Stages 4-7
- Strong technical detailing and construction knowledge within the UK residential sector
- Demonstrable experience producing and coordinating tender and construction packages
- Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience administering JCT contracts
- High proficiency in ArchiCAD with strong BIM workflow knowledge
- Ability to manage projects independently and meet programme deadlines
- Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with clients, consultants and contractors
- Eligibility to work permanently in the UK
