Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Technical Support Engineer to join our IT Services team. This is a key technical role providing expert support for end user computing across the University.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, delivering great customer service, and working with a wide range of modern desktop technologies.

What you will be doing:

The role is to be the subject matter expert (SME) in all software and application problems relating to end user experience including issues relating to the Microsoft 365 environment.

The role will be responsible for building application packages for deployment to the University estate

The role will be the SME on issues relating to Windows Operating systems, including but not exclusive to OS Deployment using both Manage Engine EPC and Intune Autopilot technologies, Application support and the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.

The role provides critical technical support for customers in both on premise and cloud environments on a range of technical solutions.

The post holder will be expected to build effective working relationships with customers at all levels and work collaboratively with a range of people.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * Relevant Degree/equivalent qualification and/or relevant work experience

  • Microsoft Certified Accreditation such as MCSA or Windows 7/8/10, or equivalent experience
