Job description
As a New College Graduate Software Engineer, you will join a cross-functional agile team working on core components of the authorization platform. You will learn from experienced engineers, work on meaningful features, and contribute to Visa's global payments ecosystem while growing your technical and industry skills., This role offers an excellent opportunity to begin your career in software engineering while gaining deep exposure to the payments industry and modern cloud-native technologies used across OVN. You will work as part of a scrum team delivering new features, supporting production systems, and participating in Visa's strategic adoption of Generative AI across the entire engineering lifecycle., * Contribute to the development of new features within the OVN authorization platform using Go and Visa's internal tooling.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design discussions, coding, testing, and deployment activities as part of an agile delivery team.
- Learn and apply Visa's proprietary rules language and real-time payment processing concepts to support the evolution of the authorization engine.
- Assist with production system monitoring and support activities to ensure platform stability and reliability.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and payment domain experts across multiple geographies.
- Use software engineering best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, continuous integration, and documentation.
- Engage with Visa's Generative AI tools and initiatives, using agentic AI coding assistants to improve productivity and code quality.
- Demonstrate a willingness to grow into the payment industry domain, learning ISO transaction formats and authorization flows.

Requirements
Do you have experience in SDKs?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Previous development experience (internships, projects, part-time work) is optional but a strong plus. What matters most is your curiosity, willingness to learn, and passion for building high-quality software., * Work experience or a Bachelor's Degree, * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals (e.g., data structures, algorithms, problem-solving).
- Familiarity with at least one modern programming language such as Go, Java, C, C++, Python, or similar.
- Curiosity, willingness to learn, and ability to quickly absorb new technical concepts.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a positive, team-focused attitude.
- Nice-to-Have Skills
- Prior coding experience through internships, academic projects, hackathons, open-source contributions, or personal projects.
- Experience using agentic AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cline).
- Interest in using GenAI models through APIs or SDKs for developer tooling or automation tasks.
