As our portfolio of work continues to expand across the UK, Ireland, and globally, we're thrilled to be growing our UK+I Healthcare Architecture team. We're currently seeking an exceptional individual to join us at Director level, to help shape the future of healthcare design.
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in leading and growing our award-winning specialist Healthcare Architecture team, part of our UK+I Architecture + Design Studio - proudly ranked 10th largest architectural practice in the UK (AJ100 Survey 2025).
We're looking for a healthcare leader with substantial recent experience in the healthcare sector across a variety of typologies. You'll be joining a global, multi-disciplinary practice where you'll act as Lead Designer on major projects, driving success through strong leadership, collaboration, and design excellence.
This role offers the chance to help define and deliver a growth strategy for healthcare architecture in the UK&I. You will engage with NHS/HSE, Trusts, contractors, and other healthcare stakeholders to build a robust pipeline of opportunities and convert them into impactful, meaningful projects.
We're especially keen to hear from candidates based in the UK and the Republic of Ireland with proven healthcare delivery experience.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Architect (RIBA/RIAI) with significant healthcare experience.
- Strong design leadership and the ability to articulate a compelling design vision.
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams on large-scale projects.
- Strategic thinking and business development experience.
- Collaborative mindset with leadership and mentorship qualities.
- Skilled communicator with clients, contractors, and authorities.
Ideally have experience of
- Expertise in medical planning.
- Experience in multi-disciplinary consultancy environments.
- Sound judgement in design and performance decisions.
- Experience working across offices and geographies.
- Resource planning and business reporting capabilities.
- Commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in tools and techniques.
