Here at GXO, we are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join our BMW contract in Swindon. You will oversee the site's QHSE function, providing expert advice and support on all aspects of health, safety, environment, ESG and engagement objectives. Implement, maintain, and manage systems to ensure a safe and compliant workplace for all staff, visitors, agency workers, and contractors. Promote and drive a safety culture to assist in the delivery of Road to Zero. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, primarily working Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00. However, some flexibility is required, due to the nature of the role. Leading the delivery of the site safety strategy and providing QHSE support and guidance to the operational teamsDevelop, implement, and maintain management systems aligned to ISO and TISAX standardsLead the creation and execution of the annual site Safety, Health & Environmental Management Improvement PlanFacilitate the reporting and investigation of all incidents, near misses, and hazards, ensuring root causes are addressed and preventative actions are implementedManage site safety documentation, audits, and reporting, including insurance and legal complianceCoordinate planned maintenance and ensure full understanding of fire, gas, electrical, and water systemsWhat you need to succeed at GXONEBOSH General or NVQ level 3 and following CPD programmeAdditional qualifications such as DGSA, IOSH, HACCP, Fire, EnvironmentalLead Auditor qualification for ISO standards - desirable and Certified TISAX Practitioner (CTISAXP) - highly desirableStrong, proven experience in a QHSE role, ideally within a fast-paced, complex environmentExperience in an environment that operates MHEExposure to accident investigation, including full analysis and reportingProven ability to lead change, manage policies and deliver trainingThe ability and confidence to influence senior stakeholders on all aspects of health and safetyWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
