Job description

  1. Analyse change requests; follow agreed designs to build configuration with correct naming, validation and logic.

  2. Create/update letters and templates; configure roles/permissions and clinic/diary setups within approved models.

  3. Maintain master tables and reference data; raise data quality issues to the appropriate teams.

  4. Write and execute test scripts; record results and defects; support UAT and remediation activities.

  5. Prepare deployment notes, rollback steps and configuration records; assist with releases and post-implementation checks.

  6. Produce and maintain configuration documentation (screenshots, version history) in the central library.

  7. Contribute to knowledge articles and quick reference guides; support super-user and floor-walking activities at go-live.8. Follow ITIL-aligned processes for change and release; protect sensitive data and comply with safety and IG requirements.

  8. Collaborate with Support to hand over changes and ensure support-readiness (FAQs, known errors, workarounds).

  • Level 3 - IT Qualification or relevant professional experience or professional qualification in relevant computer based discipline An understanding of system development within the NHS or comparable commercial experience in related field, Essential

  • Expert level of web front end development including XHTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience in digital design designing websites, banners, app icons, email newsletters etc.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the digital development process for creating dynamic browser content
  • Ability to learn, work to and create standard protocols and procedures.

Desirable

  • Experience of RiO systems development
