bluewaveSELECT are working exclusively with a end-user client that are looking to engage with a seasoned SAP Technical Operations Manager to keep the company's SAP systems stable, secure, and running efficiently.

You'll lead the technical side of SAP, manage a team, work with internal stakeholders and external partners, and make sure systems meet performance, security, and business needs.

SAP Technical Operations Manager - 6 Month Contract - Must be UK based - Inside IR35

Day to day responsibilities:

• Leading a SAP technical team (Basis, ABAP, Integration, Security, Data, etc.)
• Overseeing day-to-day SAP operations and support
• Managing third-party providers (hosting and support)
• Making sure systems are stable, secure, and performing well
• Leading major incident resolution (including root cause analysis)
• Driving improvements and reducing downtime
• Ensuring systems meet audit and compliance requirements

Preferred background:

• 10+ years in SAP technical leadership roles/technical Basis or Architecture background
• Strong experience across SAP platforms (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, etc.)
• Good understanding of infrastructure (cloud & on-prem), security, and networking
• Experience with SAP on HANA/SQL Server
• Strong incident management and ITIL knowledge
