Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computer, Phone and mobile device Technician to join our technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining computer hardware and networking equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise mechanical knowledge, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities in a dynamic environment. The ideal applicant will have a strong understanding of computer repair, schematics, and equipment maintenance, ensuring optimal performance of all systems.

Duties

  • Diagnose and repair computer hardware issues, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and repair mobile phones and tablets
  • Perform routine maintenance on computer systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Utilise hand tools and schematics to troubleshoot and resolve hardware faults effectively.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware components and network equipment.
  • Assist with system upgrades, repairs, and replacements as needed.
  • Support computer networking setup, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and maintaining network security.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hardware or network problems before they impact operations.
  • Document repair procedures and maintenance activities accurately for future reference.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operation of all IT systems.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Schematics?, * Proven experience in computer repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Strong mechanical knowledge related to hardware components.
  • Proficiency with hand tools used for hardware assembly and repair.
  • Familiarity with schematics for diagnosing electrical or hardware faults.
  • Knowledge of computer networking principles including setup, configuration, and security protocols.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics effectively.
  • Experience with equipment repair across various types of computer hardware.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Good communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical colleagues.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in IT or electronics are desirable but not essential. Minimum of 2 years experience required
