Job description
We're looking for a Device Repair Technician to run our Victoria location inside Spaces coworking (25 Wilton Road, SW1V 1LW - two minutes from Victoria Station). Our current technician is relocating outside London, and we need someone to take over and make the location their own.
You'll have your own private repair office equipped with professional tools: microscope, soldering and hot air stations, thermal imaging camera, multimeter, and everything you need for diagnostics and repairs.
What you'll be doing day-to-day:
Diagnosing faults on phones, laptops, and tablets. Carrying out repairs - screen replacements, battery swaps, charging port repairs, back glass replacements. Software work - OS reinstalls, data transfers, virus removal on Windows and macOS. Basic soldering where needed.
Communicating with customers face-to-face, by phone, and by email - explaining what's wrong, what it costs, and when it'll be ready. Photographing and logging every device, sending quotes, ordering parts, managing bookings and walk-ins.
You'll run this location independently day-to-day, but you're supported by Adam (our Wimbledon technician, 8+ years with us) and Marcin (owner), who are always available for advice, parts sourcing, and complex cases.
Expect 10-20 customers on a busy day, with quieter days for longer repairs or catching up.
This is not a trainee role. We need someone who can pick up a device, figure out what's wrong, and fix it from day one.
Requirements
Do you have experience in macOS?, Essential:
- Hands-on experience repairing phones and/or laptops
- Strong diagnostic skills - identifying causes, not just symptoms
- Comfortable with both hardware and software (screen replacements through to OS reinstalls)

- Reliable and punctual - you'll be opening and running this location independently
Desirable:
- Basic soldering experience
- IT support experience
- Familiarity with multiple device brands (Apple, Samsung, Google, Microsoft Surface)
- Based in south-west or central London
