Job description
We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with a strong background in payments systems. This role involves collaborating with architecture and application teams to translate project requirements into technical solutions, designing and developing Java-based microservices, and supporting the transformation of existing payments applications to align with modern engineering practices., * Work with architecture and application teams to analyse project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and develop Java-based microservices aligned to target architecture and engineering standards.
- Support transformation of existing payments applications and solutions, aligning to elevated architecture and modern engineering practices.
- Contribute to the operation and stability of payments solutions, including incident support and continuous improvement.
- Follow internal DevOps principles and ways of working.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across technology and business teams to deliver outcomes at pace.
Requirements
- Experience in JVM tuning and diagnostics for application troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
- Experience in distributed system design, including microservices and Spring Boot.
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and service mesh.
- Experience in monitoring and observability technologies (eg, AppDynamics, Splunk, Jaeger, Kiali, Open Telemetry).
- Experience in cloud and DevOps, including familiarity with networking (VPC) and Firewall concepts, IAM, and cloud costing.
