Job description
Atrium EMEA are supporting a world-leading IT services client in their search for a Lead Migration Architect for a public sector client.
Rate: £820/day (inside IR35) Duration: Initial 6 months (extensions likely) Working Model: Remote within the UK, with occasional travel to client sites in the Midlands, Manchester, and London.
Key Requirements:
Extensive experience leading large-scale application or data centre migration programmes Ability to define overall migration architecture strategy and ensure consistency across multiple workstreams Strong experience shaping migration patterns, standards, and architectural governance Proven leadership of architecture teams, with the ability to mentor and guide senior and junior architects Deep understanding of cloud (AWS), hybrid, and Legacy environments Ability to remain hands-on when required, supporting complex design decisions and troubleshooting
Additional Requirements:
Must have recent public sector experience Must be eligible for SC clearance (typically requires 5 years continuous UK residency, right to work in the UK, and no unspent criminal convictions) Candidates who currently hold SC or have held it recently will be highly desirable
