Data Platform Architect - Permanent - Hybrid

Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Data & AI Platform Architect to design and deliver cloud-native data, analytics, and AI platforms across the full data value chain. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions that integrate batch and Real Time processing, robust data management practices, and modern analytics and AI capabilities.

You will play a key role in shaping architecture, advising clients, and leading small teams or workstreams, while remaining hands-on and close to delivery. This is an ideal position for someone who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical, business-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end data and AI platforms leveraging cloud-native technologies
• Build scalable solutions that integrate batch and Real Time data processing pipelines
• Define and implement robust data management practices across the full data life cycle
• Incorporate modern analytics, Machine Learning, and Generative AI capabilities into platform designs
• Advise clients on architecture, best practices, and strategic data platform decisions
• Lead small teams or workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery and technical excellence
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including engineers, data scientists, and business teams
• Ensure solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with industry standards and regulations
• Promote adoption of CI/CD and modern DevOps practices for data and AI platforms

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience (5+ years) in data & analytics and AI solution design and delivery
• Hands-on experience with cloud-centric architecture and modern data platform technologies
• Strong understanding of core data management concepts across the full data life cycle (ingestion, storage, processing, governance, and consumption)
• Experience leading solution implementation for small teams or workstreams
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern approaches to infrastructure and application delivery
• Solid understanding of Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Models, and their application in enterprise solutions
• Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Desirable Experience

• Experience working in public sector or regulated industries (eg, government, healthcare, financial services)
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
• Experience designing platforms with sustainability and cost-efficiency in mind
