Job description

A leading consultancy is seeking a Data Platform Architect to design and deliver modern, cloud-native data, analytics and AI platforms. You will work across the full data value chain, shaping scalable, secure and sustainable solutions for a range of clients.

This role suits an experienced architect who enjoys advising stakeholders, leading small teams or workstreams, and remaining actively involved in hands-on delivery., * Architect end-to-end cloud data, analytics and AI platforms.

  • Design solutions that integrate batch and Real Time processing.
  • Establish robust data management, governance and life cycle approaches.
  • Guide clients on modern analytics, Machine Learning, Generative AI and Large Language Model adoption.
  • Lead small implementation teams or workstreams through design and delivery.
  • Shape best practices around CI/CD, cloud infrastructure and platform engineering.
  • Provide architectural oversight to ensure scalable, secure and well-engineered solutions., This role involves shaping modern data strategies, advising senior stakeholders, and providing engineering-grounded architectural leadership. The consultancy offers opportunities to work on high-impact data and AI transformation programmes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in data, analytics and AI solution design and delivery.
  • Strong background in cloud-centric architectures (Azure, AWS or GCP).
  • Proven experience in designing data platforms and modern analytics ecosystems.
  • Understanding of data life cycle, data management and governance principles.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning, Data Mining, Generative AI and LLMs in enterprise settings.
  • Experience leading small teams or workstreams.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD and modern infrastructure delivery practices.
  • Experience in public sector or regulated industries (eg government, healthcare) is desirable.
