Finance Systems Analyst

You will act as a subject matter expert for legal finance operations, working closely with Finance, Digital Transformation and wider business stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and define effective systems solutions. This includes supporting the delivery of multiple projects, implementing new applications, and working with internal teams, suppliers and external consultants to agree business requirements and deliver change. Alongside project work, you will provide second-line support for transactional finance queries, maintain and enhance existing systems and processes, and support testing activity across system changes. You will oversee and contribute to user acceptance testing, produce clear documentation, write SQL scripts for bespoke reporting, and ensure systems and processes remain compliant with SRA regulations. • Demonstrable experience as a Legal Cashiering SME within a law firm or professional services environment
• Considerable working knowledge of Elite 3E (TR / 3E), including core finance and cashiering processes
• Proven experience supporting transactional legal finance processes, including client accounts
• Good working knowledge of SRA regulations and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including writing scripts for reporting or analysis
• Considerable analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Desirable

• Experience supporting finance systems within a digital transformation or change environment
• Exposure to SSRS, SSIS or SSAS
• Accounting or finance systems background within professional services
• Experience working with DevOps or similar change / release management tools
• Understanding of project management principles
