Senior IT Engineer

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a GCSE?, Senior IT field engineer required by a leading supplier of office equipment to service and maintain IT and digital equipment in the Gloucestershire area.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is dynamic and has a passion for IT. You must be a quick learner, punctual and well mannered. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small IT team in a challenging and technical role. You will be required to log and resolve 1st and 2nd line support calls to a good standard. These may include resolving server and network issues where possible.

Applicants will be required to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, have a strong interest in IT, with 2 years experience in IT support. You will need to be well organised, self-motivated and be proactive with good interpersonal skills. Must have excellent phone manner and be able to communicative effectively with customers.

Good knowledge of network infrastructure with experience of troubleshooting Firewalls / Switches / Routers, Office Suites & Microsoft Office 365. You will also have experience of maintaining Active Directory.

Knowledge and exposure to Microsoft Office products essential, as are analytical and troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of PC/desktop/server architecture.

Support Skills required

• Windows Platforms - Windows 10, 11 & Windows Server 2016 - 2025
• Exchange 2019 - M365, Active Directory, M365 administration
• Microsoft Office Suites
• Prepare and install new desktop computers, laptops & servers
• Repairing a wide range of computers, servers and laptops
• Experience of Printers repairs and installation of AV equipment would be advantageous but by no means essential.

Experience \ Qualifications

• Good standard of education (GCSE's at grade C or above in English/ Maths)
• A computer related qualification desirable but not essential
• Scripting - Powershell, VBA - desirable but not essential
• 2 years commercial experience in an IT support role is required
• Sales experience would be beneficial
• Any Microsoft certifications would be advantageous

Have a clean driving licence and the ability to be self motivating.
