Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable FPGA engineer who can take responsibility for all aspects related to implementation of complex designs on FPGAs. You will be involved in product development and R&D projects. The team you will be working in consists of 5-10 embedded software and FPGA engineers. You will be collaborating on projects across multiple hardware and software development teams., Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing complex and mission-critical FPGA designs.
- Leading tasks and work packages related to FPGA design.
- Developing and executing test plans.
- Writing documentation.
- Participating in multidisciplinary teams, delivering products on time and within budget.
- Depending on your experience and expertise, performing system engineering duties across disciplines (hardware and embedded software) for prototypes and new products.
Requirements
Fulltime employment at Embedded Engineering is 40 hours per week. Parttime employment (with a minimum of 24 hours per week) is possible.
The working language at Embedded Engineering is English., The following skills are required for this position:
- Proficiency in VHDL, Verilog and FPGA development tool chains in general.
- At least 3 years of experience with FPGA development.
- Strong understanding of real-time systems and complex signal processing
The following skills are not required, but considered as valuable assets:
- Embedded software development (real-time applications)
- Experience with Amaranth/nMigen, * Required: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
- OR: relevant work experience or education equivalent to the above.
Further preferred qualifications are:
- Experience with RF systems
- Excellent command of the English language (spoken and written).
A certificate of conduct (VOG) is required for everybody working at Embedded Engineering. A security screening procedure may be part of the selection process, or may be required at any point during your employment.
Experience
At minimum we require 3 years of experience with FPGA design.
Benefits & conditions
Our remuneration package includes (among other benefits) 31 days of paid vacation per year, profit sharing, a pension plan, a company phone or phone allowance and company lunches. Your starting salary will depend on your experience and qualifications; the indicative salary range is € 4000 to € 7500 gross/month, not including vacation pay, bonuses and profit sharing. You will receive an annual pay rise depending on performance relative to your targets, that are agreed upon annually.
