Job description
We are seeking to appoint a Delivery Development Manager to join our North Team. The North region spans a wide geographical area, covering Birmingham up to the Scottish border, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential.
In this role, you will lead the project management of multiple multi-million-pound construction schemes, providing specialist technical leadership across design, construction, and delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Building strong, collaborative relationships will be key-working effectively with colleagues across the organisation and with external partners including Consultants, Contractors, Local Authorities, Homes England, and others.
The successful candidate will be a recognised expert in construction delivery, with the ability to navigate and resolve complex challenges.
This is a mobile role involving regular travel. You will be required to attend frequent scheme progress meetings, as well as team meetings and training sessions, which may take place outside the region.

Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction standards, regulations, and legislation, including Health & Safety, with proven senior-level experience in managing compliance.
- Strong IT proficiency, with experience using Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
- Knowledge and experience of various forms of building contracts, construction processes, and both refurbishment and new-build projects.
- Understanding of Homes England/GLA funding frameworks, development procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Knowledge of legal agreements relating to Statutory Authorities.
- Extensive experience in successful housing development, resource management, and project delivery.
- A proven track record in project management and negotiation.
- Experience supervising, monitoring, and managing professional and technical teams.
- Proficiency in project management software, alongside strong skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
- A relevant professional qualification and/or a degree in construction.
