Job description

Balfour Beatty's Regional Civils business is looking for a forward-thinking and influential Digital Delivery Manager to accelerate the adoption of digital ways of working across its projects. In this pivotal role, you'll shape and deliver the project's Digital Strategy-driving smarter processes, stronger collaboration and high-quality information management from design through to handover. You'll work alongside project leadership, customers and supply chain partners to embed innovative digital tools, ensure compliance with our Digital Minimum Standards, and develop the digital capability of the wider team. By enabling effective use of data, models and modern construction technologies, you'll directly improve safety, productivity, efficiency and outcomes for our customers. This is a highly impactful role where you will influence the digital culture across complex projects-leading improvements that support 4D and 5D planning, asset information management and seamless information flow throughout the project lifecycle.

Base location for this role can be flexible - UK travel is required What you'll be doing

  • Lead the creation, delivery and continual improvement of the Project Digital Strategy, ensuring alignment with Group Digital Minimum Standards.
  • Oversee the development of Digital Execution Plans, Information Delivery Plans and all related digital workflows.
  • Manage the project-level digital team, setting clear expectations and enabling high performance.
  • Use digital tools, models and data to support design coordination, construction planning, risk management and safety performance.
  • Drive the creation, review and approval of project information models, ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 and customer requirements.
  • Partner with project stakeholders and supply chain teams to embed digital processes that enable 4D, 5D and 6D model integration.
  • Promote consistent digital site management techniques, mobile technology and progressive assurance practices.
  • Track, measure and report digital performance, delivering insights, case studies and improvements.
  • Lead workshops, training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to build digital capability across the project.
  • Represent Balfour Beatty externally, demonstrating the value and impact of digital delivery to customers and partners, Day in, day out, our teams deliver some of the UK's most ambitious, exciting and meaningful projects; developing, building and maintaining the vital infrastructure that supports national economies and strengthens communities

Requirements

  • A relevant qualification (degree, HND/HNC or equivalent experience) and a desire to progress towards professional membership.
  • Can demonstrate Technical ability with the use of Digital Software applications
  • Demonstrate experience of training others
  • An understanding of the latest industry guidelines for Digital project delivery such as BS and PAS
  • Good communication skills with an ability to form effective relationships with project stakeholders
  • Able to work under time pressure
  • Experience of working collaboratively with the project teams, supply chain partners and Customers
  • Proficiency in IT and numeracy
  • Ability to form effective relationships Customer under time pressure
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering a high-quality product to tight deadlines
  • Can demonstrate strong technical ability with the use of Digital software applications
  • Keen to learn develop and support members of the digital team
