As a Characterisation Technician you will help drive our goals by:

Principal accountabilities

• Preparing specimens and samples.
• Perform testing on innovative materials using modern testing techniques
• Recording and sometimes interpreting results to present to senior colleagues including summarized test data and procedures.
• Prepares and maintains proper testing documentation.
• Participate and contribute to problem-solving projects.

• Proven experience working with some of the following techniques or equivalent; Gas sorption, Thermal and mechanical testing, optical microscopy, electronic microscopy
• Computer literate MS Package and equipment software
• Previous laboratory experience.
• Working knowledge of testing techniques.
• A degree or relevant experience in Chemistry/Materials science/technology/Physics.
• An awareness of best laboratory practices according to ISO/IEC 17025 quality standard (desirable).
