Job description

  • Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end migration architectures across AWS, private cloud, and on-premise environments.
  • Define migration patterns, strategies, and reference architectures, conducting impact analysis to support architectural decisions.
  • Oversee migration engineers during build and cutover phases, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Review and approve design documents, ensuring solutions are scalable, robust, and aligned with programme standards.
  • Analyse source environments, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and provide architectural oversight throughout all project phases.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams, programme leads, and stakeholders to ensure successful migration outcomes.
  • Support junior architects and contribute to continuous improvement of migration methodologies.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years UK residency- Ability to obtain SC clearance, * Extensive experience with migrations to AWS, private cloud, and on-premise environments.

  • Proven ability to work within multi-supplier environments and lead architectural design efforts.
  • Strong background in application architecture and cloud migration methodologies.
  • Experience creating reference architectures and conducting impact analysis.
  • Ability to lead technical teams during migration build and cutover activities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Mandatory Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years UK residency.
  • Experience with cloud migration, architecture design, and technical leadership.
  • Ability to obtain SC clearance (Client will facilitate BPSS and SC clearance).
  • Onsite presence required for initial weeks to understand project scope.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working in large-scale transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of migration patterns, impact analysis, and artefact creation.

Education & Certifications:

  • Relevant technical qualifications in cloud architecture or related fields are preferred.
