We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Field Engineer to join our Radiopahmacy team.
This role is responsible for providing on-site IT support for incidents and requests, which the central IT function cannot resolve due to their remote nature. This will include the installation and decommissioning of desktop, networking and server equipment and carrying out on-site break-fix works when required.
This is a mobile role covering the South of England, your main areas of responsibility will be to:
- Ensure the day-to-day operation, operating efficiency and quality control of the Alliance Medical static sites & mobile scanners in your designated area
- Troubleshoot and effect repairs of supported IT systems at sites within your designated area
- Provide installation support for new deployments & modifications to existing sites
- Recommend, plan and implement operational upgrades using generally accepted best practice methodologies
- Work closely with 3rd Parties and customers to resolve technical queries at sites within your designated area
- Deliver a first-class customer experience
- Maintain a constant stock level of equipment, cabling, parts & spares within your vehicle
- Assist and support other Technology teams with IT related queries at sites within your designated area
- Act as a liaison between operations staff & the technology teams
As this is a mobile role, there will be an extensive amount of travel required. We will provide you with a fully expensed company vehicle, but a full driving license for use within the UK is essential.

Ability to work alone & troubleshoot issues unaided

Good working knowledge of Windows desktop & server operating systems

Capable of LAN (Local Area Network) troubleshooting

Understanding of ADSL, VDSL & Leased line technologies

Understanding the requirement for extended travel times & possibility of overnight stays at short notice

Flexibility of working hours and times

Basic support of networking equipment

Excellent interpersonal skills; personable.
