Job description
- Leading the migration of existing legacy systems to a robust Kubernetes cluster, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess current data infrastructure and develop comprehensive plans for cloud readiness and modernisation.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that support both current and future organisational needs.
- Monitoring system performance post-migration, proactively identifying areas for optimisation and improvement within the new cloud environment.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending new tools or methodologies that enhance efficiency or reliability within the data engineering function.
Requirements
- Candidate must be eligible for SC clearance.
- Demonstrated experience migrating complex legacy systems into modern cloud-based environments using Kubernetes clusters.
- Proven track record of preparing organisations for cloud adoption by assessing existing infrastructure and implementing readiness strategies.
- Strong background in stakeholder engagement, including gathering requirements, communicating progress, and managing expectations effectively.
- Solid understanding of designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines within distributed computing environments.
