Senior Data Engineer Consultant

• At least three years of hands-on data engineering experience, preferably in a client-facing or consultancy setting
• Strong experience with the Microsoft Azure stack - Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Databricks, SQL Server - and the confidence to work with what the client fits and/or has, not just what you prefer
• Solid SQL and Python skills, and the data modelling experience to back them up
• A track record of translating business needs into data solutions that actually get used
• The communication skills to hold your own in a room with a CFO and a DBA on the same day
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Based in the Netherlands

• Design and build data platforms across the full stack - ingestion, transformation, serving, orchestration, and security
• Work directly with clients to understand their needs, challenge their assumptions, and guide their data journey
• Make architectural decisions and stand behind them - with the guardrails and principles of Rockfeather as your foundation
• Deliver solutions that another team member can pick up and run without asking you anything
• Mentor less experienced colleagues - in code reviews, in sparring sessions, and by simply doing good work visibly
• Stay ahead: flag risks early, communicate before being asked, and ask for help before it's too late

What We Offer:

• Contract: Fixed-term contract of 9 months with the intention of a permanent position
• Working hours: 40 hours per week
• Salary: €4,725 - €5,750 (depending on experience)
• Holiday allowance: 8% holiday allowance
