Job description

As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in a dynamic team ensuring our equipment is efficient, reliable, and well-maintained to meet production goals. You will lead efforts to:

  • Enhance Asset Care KPIs by delivering effective maintenance, problem-solving, and asset improvement.
  • Ensuring maintenance plans are aligned with failure mode assessments.
  • Transition the department to a proactive and condition-based engineering approach, reducing reliance on reactive maintenance.
  • Root cause major breakdowns and implement solutions that improve asset reliability.
  • Utilise data analysis to scope and implement improvement projects that align with compliance, cost, and performance objectives.
  • Ensure critical spares and stock levels are optimised for operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical expertise during significant breakdowns, machine set-ups, and capital project commissioning.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating across teams to deliver impactful results.

You will be a key contributor to developing a culture of excellence, coaching peers, and ensuring all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks are completed efficiently.

Requirements

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Recognised Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship with an HNC or equivalent.
  • Skilled in diagnosing and repairing complex machinery faults.
  • Experience with problem-solving techniques such as 5 Whys, RCPS, and familiarity with maintenance systems like SAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of Reliability/Maintenance methodologies.
  • Fault finding expertise.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and mentor others.
  • Excellent communicator and a collaborative team player.
  • Conscientious, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.
  • Positive, adaptable, and committed to safety and quality standards.
