Data and Systems Engineer

The Data Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and usability of asset-related data across the organisation. This role plays a key part in maintaining asset databases, supporting reporting and decision-making, and leading or supporting the rollout of new asset management software and system upgrades.

What will your typical day look like?

• Maintain accurate asset and work order data, ensuring quality, integrity, and compliance.
• Produce regular KPIs and reports, spotting trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support users with first-line system, data, and system queries.
• Train new users and help deliver system rollouts, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Coordinate data migration, testing, and validation during system changes.
• Keep essential operational data (skills matrices, installed base, dashboards) up to date.
• Work with Operations, IT, Quality, Projects, and Warranty teams to resolve data issues.
• Assist dispatch with technician schedules and system accuracy.
• Promote strong customer relationships and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven experience implementing and maintaining data or ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of ERP platforms, data integrations, and system interfaces.
• Able to provide technical guidance within a matrix organisation.
• Strong business acumen with commercial and legal awareness.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical issues clearly.
• Strong IT skills, especially Excel.
