Job description

OCU is looking for a highly capable and organised Data Analyst to support our Group Technical Director and wider technical leadership team. This is a hands-on, business-critical role combining data analysis, reporting and executive support in a fast-paced technical environment. This role will suit someone who enjoys turning data into insight, producing clear management information, and supporting senior leaders with high-quality analysis, reporting and day-to-day coordination.

Flexibility to support the team in our shared requirements is key, * Collecting, validating and analysing data from multiple sources to support leadership decision-making

  • Producing regular and ad-hoc reports covering utilisation, workforce planning, team structure and capability
  • Managing skills matrices, competency data and team information
  • Designing and analysing Microsoft Forms data collection exercises
  • Creating dashboards, reports and management packs using advanced Excel
  • Developing and maintaining organisational charts and team structure reporting
  • Preparing PowerPoint presentations for board and senior leadership meetings
  • Providing day-to-day executive, administrative and coordination support to the Group Technical Director
  • Supporting leadership meetings, team events and general office administration
  • Continuously improving data collection, reporting and administrative processes

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Data Analyst or analytical reporting role
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups, charts, data manipulation)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Microsoft Forms
  • Experience producing utilisation, workforce or management reports
  • Comfortable working with sensitive and confidential information
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and proactive
  • Confident supporting senior leaders and operating in a leadership environment
  • Flexible, adaptable and willing to support across both data and business support activities
