Job description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth day to day IT operations, supporting employee onboarding and offboarding processes, and maintaining a reliable and secure technology environment particularly in endpoint hardware.

You'll work closely with our Operations team, and under the guidance and direction of our Infrastructure Architect to support both users and internal IT initiatives. There are also opportunities to work within backend infrastructure and work with developers and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC)., * Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT onboarding requests, ensuring new starters have the tools and access they need from day one.

  • Coordinate the ordering, tracking, and organisation of IT equipment (laptops, peripherals, accessories).
  • Set up, manage and maintain user accounts, and access across systems.
  • Deliver IT onboarding sessions to new employees, providing guidance on systems, tools, and best practices.
  • Support offboarding processes, including revoking access and ensuring proper handling of company assets.
  • Wipe, reset, and prepare devices for reuse in line with company security policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve day to day IT issues, escalating where necessary.
  • Manage hardware with different Endpoint Operating Systems.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team on internal IT projects and process improvements.
  • Assist our Infrastructure Architect in implementing and maintaining IT systems and best practices. Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, assets, and configurations.

Requirements

  • Familiar with one or more of the following OS's and linked hardware:
  • Windows
  • Linux (Ubuntu)
  • MacOS
  • Comfortable using or learning IT Automation engines such as Ansible.
  • Will have knowledge of Password managers and using physical and virtual MFA.
  • Previous experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to details.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Bonus Skills:

  • Knowledge of Google Workspace (user management, permissions, troubleshooting).
  • Familiar with Mobile Device management Systems (MDM).
  • Have worked with both on-premise and Cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting onboarding/offboarding processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with device management and asset tracking tools.
  • Basic understanding of IT security best practices. An understanding of games
